This is not a woe-is-us post, more of a catch-up and a musing. Above all, it is an honest post. That is something Jon and I have always been when sharing our life and the realities of full-time motorhome living is honest, about the good and the not so good.
It feels like a familiar pattern is forming here. We find a good run, we’re getting content out and then boom! It’s been 5 months since the last blog post, 4 months since the last YouTube video and everyone thinks we’ve disappeared.

Where have we been?
We’re still very much ‘here’ (wherever here is!). Since returning from our big Europe trip back in July, we’ve been busy delivering more talks at the Warners motorhome shows.
That is in between Jon working fulltime with Jason, The Motorhome Man, and me (Tash) working as a virtual assistant still. Plus I have a regular, monthly column in Campervan Magazine.
I also completed and released our first eBook ‘How To Prepare Your Cat for Motorhome Travel’ which I am super proud of. Especially as its just become available on Kindle! The best version is though our BMAC shop though, in all its full colour glory (because then you can really appreciate the pics of the girls).
I’m currently working on our next book, whilst also trying to get ready for the Motorhome And Caravan Show at the NEC next month (17th-22nd October).
We will be there all week. Jon will be working on That Leisure Shop‘s Maypole branded stand this year and I will be on the Park4Night stand as an ambassador. In addition, Jon will be part of the experts panel on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and I will be part of a solo travel panel on Friday and Saturday.

The last update on here was about my trip to Morocco with Bailey of Bristol, which I will get round to finishing by the way.
On YouTube, our last update was from our 7-week Europtrip, I think we left you in a medieval town in France? I know Jon is also aiming to finish that series of videos. That being said, he still has last year’s round of Europtrip travel videos to complete as well.
In real time, we still regularly post on our Facebook and Instagram pages and they are all up to date.
What does all this have to do with the realities of motorhome living?
Fair point, let me explain. Well its quite simple actually, we need to earn a living! Our goal is to build up careers in the leisure vehicle industry. It’s something we are passionate about, self confessed geeks in fact, and us making tracks in the industry is something we are both so proud of.
Mrs imposter syndrome over here does have to have a stern chat with myself at times but writing it down like this is actually showing me just how far we have come.
Most wouldn’t believe it but Jon also doesn’t believe how awesome he is and just how knowledgable and skilled he is.
But building these careers means we have to earn a living in the mean time. And find time and money to travel. That has been the tough part because at times, it feels like there are not enough hours in the day. Or even enough days in the week.
Especially when you need to take time to take care of yourself. My health has suffered this year so I have been forced to slow it all down.
And so things like editing videos, writing posts, making collaboration posts, writing books and building a brand falls further down the priority list.
Plus, one of the big realities of motorhome living is you are putting more strain and use on it than it was intended for. Or rather, putting 8-10 years of wear and tear on it in the space of 1-2 years. That means things need fixing, a lot. So when Jon isn’t working or we’re not doing a show, usually he is fixing something on the motorhome. And when its your home, that puts extra pressure on it.
Especially with 3 cats in tow.
It’s all worth it though, right?
As much as we have so many ideas, so many things we want to do and so much content we want to share, we need to realise we can do one thing at a time.
We had some honest chats this year and stripped it all back. Reminding ourselves why we sacrificed a ‘comfortable’ life for this lifestyle. Because there is so much more to life than a mortgage, nice cars and worrying about racking up likes and views and we want to get out and experience it! So of course its all worth it.
We want to live a different way, but importantly, it’s got to be our way. And if we can educate and inspire others along the way, perfect!

I love your posts, they are inspiring this is something that my partner and I have planned to do, give up the trimmings and live and travel around the country and even Europe in a motorhome fulltime. We are in the process of planning so getting excited. We will be selling up everything so its exciting and scary all at the same time. So all the tips you have would be greatly appreciated, I will be purchasing your book to read, but thanks for all you do and the knowledge you are passing on. We all get swept away with the momentum and often forget and take the time to re-assess.
Hi Annie! Wow, that is so kind of you, we really appreciate that. Thats one thing we love about sharing, inspiring others and connecting with like minded people. That is so exciting, we’re excited for you. We both still remember how it felt that day we handed over the keys to our house and spent our first night in the motorhome as ‘full-timers’! A mix of nerves, excitement but best of all, that feeling of knowing we had so many new adventures ahead of us and we were embarking on something incredible. Great post! Over the years we’ve watched you develop your career path and also noticed how healthy and happy you look. The periods when it’s not so easy will pass, you just need to be patient and be kind to yourselves. You are achieving so much and it’s a privilege to watch you on your journey.
Oh Dianne! Your support has always been amazing and I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. It’s definitely hard at times but yes you’re right, it will pass and we have to work through it. Getting to meet you was such a joy, you are such a lovely soul and I’m so grateful for that.
